a 3D physical scanner project. A Shoe last is the form on which a shoe is made. It is desirable to obtain digital copies of lasts so that they may be duplicated and modified. Commercial last scanners work on the same principals as my design but, of course, they are very expensive. My goal is to create an inexpensive last scanner and eventually a corresponding CNC milling machine to mill out copies.
